Job Title: Community Cricket Coach

Salary: £20-24k per annum (dependent on experience and hours)

Other Benefits: Car mileage allowance for work related travel

Base Location: Rickmansworth School, Scots Hill, Rickmansworth, Herts, WD3 3AQ

Period: 16 weeks, 35-40 hrs per week

Closing Date: 26th February 2010

 

 

Primary Role:

This role, created in partnership with Chance to shine and The Three Rivers and Watford School Sports Partnership (SSP), will be to work as a member of the SSP team in the delivery of a schools cricket development programme from 19th April - 23rd July 2010.

 

 

About the Job:

¨ Delivery of Chance to shine coaching sessions, focusing on Year 6-9 boys and girls cricket.

¨ Signpost young people through player pathways from schools to local clubs.

¨ Ensure that each school meets the Chance to shine requirements.

¨ Support the SSP in the organisation of primary cricket leagues and festivals.

¨ Enhance primary staff’s knowledge and understanding of kwik cricket.

 

 

Qualifications/Skills

¨ Knowledge/experience of sports development

¨ Cricket coaching experience

¨ An understanding of the Chance to shine programme is desirable

¨ Good communication and time management skills

¨ Good interpersonal skills

¨ Minimum UKCC 2 or ECB Level 2 cricket coach

¨ Full, valid driving licence and access to a car

¨ Computer Literacy, including MS Office applications
